This Privacy Policy explains how DNASKATE collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit our website, place an order, communicate with us, or otherwise use our services. Shopify provides the commerce platform used by our store.

2. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- identity and contact information, including name, email, telephone number, billing address, and delivery address;
- order and transaction information, including products, prices, payment status, returns, warranty requests, and communications;
- payment information processed by Shopify and payment providers; DNASKATE generally receives payment status and limited payment details rather than complete card credentials;
- account information, preferences, consent records, and marketing choices;
- device, browser, IP address, cookie identifiers, usage, referral, and approximate-location information;
- customer-service records, photographs, video, reviews, and other information you send us;

3. Sources
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the website and cookies, and from Shopify, payment providers, carriers, fulfillment partners, fraud-prevention providers, advertising partners, and other service providers involved in your interaction with the store.
4. How and Why We Use Personal Information
We use personal information to:
- process payments, accept and fulfill orders, arrange delivery, returns, refunds, repairs, and warranty service;
- provide customer support and communicate about orders and safety matters;
- create and administer accounts and remember preferences;
- prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- operate, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve the store and products;
- comply with tax, accounting, customs, product-safety, sanctions, consumer-protection, and legal obligations;
- send marketing where permitted and measure advertising effectiveness.
Where the EU/EEA or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, steps requested before entering a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service improvement, and consent where required. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We and our service providers use essential cookies to operate checkout, accounts, security, and preferences. Subject to applicable consent requirements, we may also use analytics, personalization, and advertising cookies. Available cookie choices are presented through our consent tools. Browser settings may also block cookies, although essential functions may then be unavailable.
Where required, you can opt out of qualifying targeted advertising or data sharing through our data-sharing opt-out page. We honor legally required browser-based preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where applicable.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Shopify, which hosts and supports the store;
- payment processors, banks, fraud-prevention and security providers;
- warehouses, carriers, customs agents, repair centers, and return providers;
- technology, cloud-hosting, analytics, customer-service, marketing, and professional advisers;
- authorities or other parties where required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, or connected with a merger, financing, sale, or restructuring.
Service providers are expected to process information under appropriate contractual and security obligations. Some partners may act as independent controllers under their own privacy notices.
7. Shopify
Shopify processes personal information to provide and improve the commerce platform and may act as a processor or independent controller depending on the activity. More information is available in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
8. International Transfers
DNASKATE, Shopify, warehouses, carriers, and service providers may process information outside the country where you live, including in Hong Kong, China, the United States, Canada, and other locations. Where required for transfers from the EU/EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use an adequacy decision, approved contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism, together with supplementary safeguards where appropriate.
9. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including fulfilling orders, providing warranty support, meeting tax and accounting obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and addressing safety or fraud concerns. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable law. Information is deleted or de-identified when no longer required, unless lawful retention is necessary.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information by email. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and information about disclosures or targeted advertising. Rights may be subject to legal exceptions. We will verify requests and respond within the period required by applicable law.
To exercise a right, email qin@dnaskate.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Authorized agents must provide proof of authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
EEA and UK residents may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where they live or work. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address the concern.
12. Marketing Choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional email using the link in the message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional, safety, account, or order communications.
13. Children
The store is not directed to children who cannot legally enter into a purchase contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children contrary to applicable law. A parent or guardian may contact us to request review or deletion.
14. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices.
