Return, Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This policy applies prospectively to orders placed after the last-updated date. It does not limit any mandatory consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
1. Minimum Statutory Withdrawal Period
DNASKATE does not offer an additional voluntary change-of-mind return period beyond the minimum period required by applicable law.
Consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area and United Kingdom who have a statutory right to withdraw from an eligible distance purchase may notify DNASKATE of their decision, without giving a reason, within 14 calendar days after the day on which the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, receives the goods. For multiple goods delivered separately, the period begins when the last applicable item is received where required by law.
Customers outside those regions have no voluntary change-of-mind return right unless mandatory law applicable to the sale requires one.
2. How to Withdraw
Before the applicable period expires, send a clear withdrawal statement to qin@dnaskate.com. Include your name, delivery address, order number, product and decision to withdraw. You may use the model form below, but it is not mandatory.
After notifying us, send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after the notice, unless DNASKATE offers to collect them. Contact us first for a return authorization, the correct regional return address and lithium-battery transport instructions. Authorization is used for safe routing and does not remove a mandatory withdrawal right.
3. Return Shipping Costs for Non-Quality Returns
For a statutory withdrawal or other return that is not caused by a defective, damaged, unsafe, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied product, the customer must pay the direct return shipping cost. DNASKATE does not provide a free prepaid return label for a non-quality or change-of-mind return.
Electric skateboards contain lithium batteries and may require a dangerous-goods carrier. They must not be sent through ordinary post or an unapproved parcel service. For a complete electric skateboard returned from a supported European destination to the designated European return facility, the estimated direct return cost is generally US$100–US$300, depending on country, model, weight, dimensions, battery classification, carrier and pickup requirements. Unless a higher estimate was clearly disclosed before purchase, DNASKATE will not require the customer to bear more than US$300 of the direct return cost. Accessories that can normally be returned by post are charged at the carrier's actual direct rate.
DNASKATE may arrange an authorized carrier for safety. The disclosed return cost may be paid before collection or, with the customer's agreement and where lawful, deducted from the refund. The customer must follow all packaging, labeling, battery state-of-charge and carrier instructions.
4. Product Inspection and Condition
The customer may handle and inspect the product only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same manner that would normally be permitted in a physical shop.
A non-quality return should be complete, undamaged and free of scratches, impact marks, dirt, water exposure, modification and abnormal wear. The product must not be ridden outdoors or used beyond what is reasonably necessary for inspection. It should be returned with the battery, charger, remote, manuals, tools, accessories, protective materials and, where reasonably possible, the original packaging.
A consumer does not lose a mandatory withdrawal right solely because the goods were handled. However, where permitted by law, the consumer is responsible for any objectively supported diminished value caused by riding, use, damage, missing parts or handling beyond what was necessary for inspection. DNASKATE may deduct that actual diminished value from the refund and will explain the basis of the deduction. No arbitrary restocking fee is charged for exercising a statutory withdrawal right.
5. Return Transport Responsibility
For a customer-paid non-quality return, the customer is responsible for the goods until they are received at the authorized return facility, to the extent permitted by law. Use the authorized trackable and appropriately insured service and retain the receipt and tracking information.
The customer may be responsible for loss or damage caused by inadequate packaging, undeclared lithium batteries, an unauthorized carrier or failure to follow lawful dangerous-goods instructions. Never independently ship a damaged, swollen, leaking, overheating, recalled, water-exposed or impact-damaged battery; contact DNASKATE first.
6. Defective, Damaged, Unsafe or Incorrect Goods
This policy does not limit mandatory legal rights concerning defective, damaged, unsafe, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied goods. Contact qin@dnaskate.com promptly with the order number and reasonable supporting photos or video.
Where verified or required by applicable law, DNASKATE will provide the legally required remedy and will bear or reimburse reasonable and necessary return shipping costs. A commercial warranty is additional to, and does not replace, mandatory conformity rights.
7. Refunds Following Statutory Withdrawal
DNASKATE will refund the payments required by applicable law, including the purchase price and the cost of the least expensive standard outbound delivery option offered for the order. Additional costs for expedited, premium or non-standard outbound delivery are not refundable beyond the standard-delivery amount.
The refund will be made to the original payment method, without a refund fee, no later than 14 days after DNASKATE is informed of the withdrawal. DNASKATE may withhold reimbursement until the goods are received or the customer provides reliable evidence that they were sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
8. Order Cancellation
You may request cancellation before dispatch. DNASKATE will try to stop fulfillment but cannot guarantee interception after carrier acceptance. If the order has shipped, use any applicable statutory withdrawal process after delivery.
